Academic Engagements

My background is in studying digital identity, and how new technologies change how people conceive of themselves and relate to each other. I received my Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Information and Library Science in 2010. I currently teach on a range of issues at a number of institutions.

I’ve taught courses in Information Ethics and Policy for Drexel University and the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

I’ve taught courses in Human-Computer Interaction for Cornell Tech and and Drexel.

I’ve taught courses in Science and Technology Studies for NYU-Tandon

And I’ve co-taught a course on podcast production and strategy for the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas at UT-Austin.
